Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is a hothead who should be dropped from the England team, according to former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino.Pickford, 25, put in a poor display as the Toffees surrendered a two-goal lead at Newcastle on Saturday to fall to their fourth defeat in six games.2

And writing in his column for the Times, Cascarino believes the former Sunderland man is more suited to a career in UFC than professional football.“When I watch Jordan Pickford, part of me feels like he should be a cage fighter in the Octagon.“He took out Salomn Rondn with a rugby tackle on Saturday and he makes mistakes too often.“You see him spill a 25-yard shot, then start jumping up and down, balling at his defenders.2

The Everton man is too intense.“Defenders like their goalkeepers to be calm and not get too caught up in the emotion of the game, but Pickford seems so angry he clenches his fists and goads his team.“I dont like his post-match interviews either he holds his hands up and says, Ive made a mistake, but so be it, thats the way I play, then he does the same thing again.“I find that extraordinary. He needs to take things on board and learn.”
