“Life played me a bad turn because I was the one who experienced it,” he said during an interview with Telemundo.“I’m crying because apart from the fact that he’s a fellow professional, it was an injury that I actually felt when it happened… I’ll never forget it it was tough.”Everton fans, including former boxer Tony Bellew, were quick to praise Rondon on social media for his reaction at the time, offering support and sympathy.Another, @SJM1878wrote: “Tell you what mate you are sound. I didn’t want it to happen and didn’t think it would ever happen.”McCarthy is yet to feature this season, but at the start of November played the full 90 minutes inan Everton Under-23 game.Since joining from Wigan in 2013, the 27-year-old has played 132 games for the first-team.Rondon, meanwhile, netted a crucial brace to help Newcastle beat Bournemouth 2-1 prior to the most recent international break.
