Liverpool summer signing Fabinho has insisted he never asked for a January transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, despite rumours linking him with a move away.The Brazilian star joined from Monaco in a 39million dealin July but took time to acclimatise to English football.GETTY1

Fabinho, 25, looked shaky in pre-season and made his full debut for the club on September 18 as a substitute against PSG.His lack of minutes and poor initial displays saw him linked with an almost immediate return to France.But the player has now played down the speculation.I was told there was something in the press, but I never said I’d like to leave Liverpool, he toldUOLwhen asked about being linked with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.I knew I would need to have patience to wait for my moment. I’m happy at Liverpool.
