Jurgen Klopp ended his trophy-drought with Liverpool

The German ended a run of three cup final defeats with the Reds to lift his first piece of silverware at Anfield.Now, Carragher, who tasted Champions League glory when Liverpool came from three goals down to beat AC Milan in 2005, wants the club to reward Klopp with a new contract.He told Sky Sports: I think he is the No.1 at the club. Hopefully now he can push on. He has got that monkey off his back if you like – the first big trophy, the first time he’s won the Champions League, all these finals without winning and all this talk.
